Event Planning
Rally Across America Lindley served as the sole media contact for Rally Foundation's Rally Across America fundraiser from June 13 - June 27, 2008. Rally Across America is a fundraising endeavor that sends bicyclists pedaling across the United States, riding in honor of numerous children fighting childhood cancer. During the tours, the cyclists make visits to hospitals in each city they stop and host community fundraisers in honor of these Rally Kids. The 2008 tour began in Washington, D.C. and ended in Nashville, Tenn. Lindley was solely responsible for planning the community fundraiser in Atlanta. She contacted stores, restaurants, event locations and party supply stores to receive donations for the event. The fundraising event raised more than $4,000 for childhood cancer research and had 150 people in attendance to rally with Tyler Copley, who was battling Ewing's Sarcoma.
